Does MS ever retire a hotmail account name?

I have been waiting for a hotmail account to become available for a
long time. If I send emails to it I get the error saying no such email
address exists. If I try to sign up using that name I get the message
saying someone already has it.

Does MS ever just delete or ban hotmail names for spamming or
anything?

That would be a good question to ask Hotmail support; not one to which I
would expect a definitive answer in a newsgroup devoted to Microsoft Access
database software, as this one is.

OK sorry about that Larry I was looking for a 'hotmail' or a
'microsoft' newgroup and the best I could find was this one which I
thought had something to do with public access to microsoft rather
than "Microsoft Access"
