Hi,

does anybody of you use the BenQ 5550 scanner and can give some insight
whether the Mirascan program provided with this device supports JPG
format directly? I mean, can I save scanned documents directly into JPG
using Mirascan?

Regards,

No.

Mirascan is a TWAIN driver.

To scan and to save as jpg or any other format requires that you use a Photo
Editor with a TWAIN interface. (It is the photo editor that does the
saving).

You scan from the File>import or Acquire menu in any photo editor.

Mirascan does have many settings to control the scanner, such as color, b&w,
or gray scale and at what resolution. All are controlled via the TWAIN
interface of your Photo Editor.
