Does Kaspersky 5.0 add some tags to every files ?

I read from some webpage long time ago that KAV 5.0 add some tags to
every files for faster scan. It won't scan those files again in the
same session.

I don't have a reg key to post message at their support forum.


Anybody know about it ? I just test kaspersky5.0 today and I like it.

PROS:

- cute
- one KAV.EXE and one service KAVSVC.EXE
- Incremental signature database update.
- 10 hrs testing and didn't see any error.

CONS:

- Protection level and Scan level are hard to remember and understand.

Questions:

- When I use extended database, Does it download standard database
too ? The automatic update will check only one database ?

- If I exit KAV.EXE, it can automatic update database ?

If I exit KAV.EXE, it cann't manual scan by right click..
You need to run KAV.EXE and then re-manual scan again..

Maybe I will back to Symantec antivirus corporate edition v9.xx

:KAVICHS:$DATA - It add ADS tagging data in every files on NTFS.
by the way, it is not good to do that without asking a user.
