Does it run without admin rights?

I installed the tool and it works very good.

Does the tool run properly when a user without admin
rights is logged in and the scan process starts and maybe
wants to delete a file?

I searched the FAQ but didn't find an answer for that
question.

Thanks and have a nice weekend.

Probably not.

Shortcomings in the area of multi-user situations and administrator/limited
user are both acknowledged by Microsoft and being worked on.

I am always logged on and running as a limited user. My special "Sysadmin" account, with
administrator permissions, only logs on to install software, etc. So far MS Antispyware updates have
been applied automatically and the program kicks off at the scheduled time, while I am logged on as
me, at 12.00 AM. It does, however, keep notifying me each morning that I changed my default IE page
to something other than what the local PC administrator uses, ie. the multi-user issue. That's a bit
irritating...

Note that I did install the program as an administrator...

Well, I guess I lied... The program runs but the updates don't update...:-)

Sorry about that...

There may be quirks. This is one of a number of areas Microsoft doesn't
need bug reports in--they are working on them:

Localization
Accessibility
Spelling/grammar issues
multi-user issues
admin vs limited user issues

I don't know how far they will be able to get in these areas, but they
should at least reach a point where the expectations and behaviors can be
defined.
