Does Google desktop search work with NOD32 now?

A while back, I tried to install Google desktop search on a PC with
NOD32 but google said it is not compatible with NOD32. Has anything been
changed?

Yup, the latest version works fine with NOD32 (the previous one did as well
if you added a few exclusions in NOD32 for that matter).
