I don't really know how this works but I'll give it a try ...I was wondering
if using a french version of operating system cd for windows xp matters.
Does anyone out there know if I can still fix whatever bugs are on my laptop
if I use the french version?Any help will be appreciated

No, you can only use the same language version as
currently installed.

Assuming that you already have the French version of WinXP installed,
then yes, you'd want to use the French CD to perform any repairs.
Otherwise, no.
