In my post on Aug 22 ("Problems networking Vista Ultimate,,,,") I described
problems I am having in my Win 98 and Vista Ultimate computers "seeing" each
other over a peer-to-peer home network through a router.
I also described having tried all the standard fixes to no avail.
Both IPv4 and IPv6 are checked in my Vista computer adapter properties.
Does anyone know if disabling IPv6 would help with the Vista computer seeing
the Win 98 computer in the Network Map?
Also, is it simply a matter of unchecking the IPv6 box, or are there other
things that need to be done as well?
