Does burning a CD image to CD overwrite serial #?

Hi, I want to know if a CD-R's serial number is read-only.

Specifically, if I burn an image of another CD-R onto it.

Does this overwrite the original serial number, or are
disc serial numbers read-only?

CD-R and serial numbers? If you are worried that your burning of an
image will negate that CD-R because it may have a serial number in
bedded in it. It won't. Simple as that.
