Awhile back, the place I used to work at was using an interface. To
give tier 1 admins acesss to AD, from which they could unlock user
accounts within there OU. It was from microsoft, and it allowed us to
show the admin, only users in there OU. It was a 'wizard' type
interface were you select options and hit next. I was trying to search
for it but couldn't remember the name. Does anyone know what I'm
talking about and remember the name?

I can't remember what they're called for the life of me, but I have used them
once and they are files that limit (hide) objects outside your OU to ease the
use of MMC based utilities by non-admins.

If you just want to unlock acccounts, go downlaod the resource kit tool
"lockoutstatus" from Microsoft's website. They simply put in the login name
and select unlock account. Same goes for reset password. No searching for
burried users in your OU structure.

Try search on the phrase or word "task pad" | taskpad.

Unless you mean some specific (purpose built) tool,
that (taskpad) is the name for a subset MMC that limits
the functionality of the MMC snap-ins to specific uses.

I think Herb's task pad suggestion is what you are looking for:

Yes! Thank you. It is taskpad. It was right on the tip of my tongue.
I would have never remember it. Thanks again, everyone.
