You're comparing a Samsung 24" Computer Monitor, a quality item, against some cheapo unknown brand 32" TV.

You can get loads of 32" TV's for £300.00 right now but it's unlikely you'll find a Samsung 32" TV for less than £500.00.

You're comparing fish paste with caviar.

And take a look see what a 32" Computer Monitor will cost you

Well I suppose it depends on what your going to use it for, as ones a PC Monitor and the others mainly for watching TV.

What's going on? Your link is for a Vistron TV and your spec is for a Samsung TV. Which is it?

Looks to me like the Vistron uses a samsung screen for the build Flops.

Really? Good grief, it may actually be a good purchase

Nevertheless, 24" dedicated computer monitor will give a much better image and fluidity than a TV. You only gotta compare the max res's & contrast ratios of each.

I've actually been waiting til I can afford a 32" or 37" Samsung TV, I may just investigate this Vistron TV.....

Now I've read this thread again and studied the TV's spec it is quite obvious the Vistron has a Samsung screen. Ooops, sorry :o

Seem to be making a bit of a moron of myself today :D

You know, I may just buy this TV, it has loads of good reviews at e-buyer. I've been waiting around 6 months or more to get a flat panel TV to go with my Media Computer but just couldn't afford £500/£600 for a Samsung. This may just be the compromise I was looking for.

And just out of interest, I now have around 900 audio albums and 280 DivX movies on my media PC 500Gb drive and still got around 160Gb left. Have my I-Tunes folder on there as well. And all backed up to an external 500Gb SATA drive, a Samsung in an Akasa enclosure. Groovy

thats the monitor i was going to go for, instead i'm looking at this one

it does look pretty awesome, still researching it though as i'm not sure

:) It is indeed a Samsung screen and if I were to buy it I would get a Samsung sticker for it.

It was brought to my attention by my friend and reading it's reviews has really made me think.

The problem for me would be the distance from screen to me. It would be about 1-2 foot. Probably too much for a 32 inch screen!!!

just read the spec of it, apparently it has

NiCad stereo sound.

lol, it looks pretty good, although there is another thing i'm not sure about, it has a resolution of 1366 x 768 but it says it can do 1080i which i'm not sure about tbh

but for £300 it aint a bad deal, i'd go for it if you were to use it for a media centre but not for use as a monitor, 32" is just tooo big

My decision is that your 24" monitor is the best choice by far for your computer and that the TV is ok as a TV or for use with a computer that is a dedicated media centre.
