Hi All
First time visiter to this board as I've downloaded IE7 beta and its working
like a bag of spanners. Found a couple of threads that relate to problems Im
getting. What Ive noteced is abloslutly zero feedback from microsoft. I would
have thought that as we are all good enough to help test this software they
could at least be decent enough to support us with any issues
For the record my problems are ;
1. favorites links do not work
2. Media player does not always connect
3.Whren I get the "page not avalible page"I cannot get off it unless I keep
clicking the back button.

Thank God that I still have firefox

There's your answer for that one. BETA means not ready for general release -
you are TESTING it.
Did you not READ the pages about IE7? It tells you that newsgroup support
for IE7 is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Thanks Gordon.

No I didnt read any info I just downloaded it on impluse (which I now
realise was a mistake). When it didnt work I googled and came across this via
a link from microsoft. I mistakenly assumed that this was the help forum .

Must get back to trying to work out how to remove this "beta"

p.s. Maybe a softer response the next time you resond to a newbie .

Yes, volunteers (and this includes MVPs) answer questions in this newsgroup
all the time. As most of our replies never get replied TO or even
acknowledged by the Original Poster (OP), many of us choose to reply only to
posts which indicate that the OP will actively engage in a dialogue to
resolve the problem(s).

You downloaded IE7 B2P from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/ie7betaredirect.mspx. On that page,
Step 3 (Send Us Your Feedback) points you to IE General newsgroup, not this
one: microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.

On the web:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In your newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In that newsgroup, you will see some responses from the IE Team but like
most MS newsgroups, the bulk of the support is handled on a voluntary,
peer-to-peer basis.
