MVPs are all volunteers. They'll be around soon enough.

This is peer-to-peer support. Questions go unanswered for many reasons,
typically because nobody knows the answer or someone who does know the
answer doesn't happen to be reading the newsgroup at the time a question is
posted.

Just wondering as there is a lot of unanswered questions in this group.

And what does *moderation* (as in regulation) have to do with *answering*?
If it was moderated, and it isn't, a post gets deleted without nary a word
or post from the moderator enforcing their Iron Claw policy.

Okay great, now if I can this many replies with my post it would be great.
Unfortunatly it seems my issue is greater than I thought.

And many of the questions that /are/ answered are never replied to, leading
many of us to assume they were never read so why bother replying in the
first place (especially to FAQs)?

Or because everyone who knows the answer thinks it has been answered
often enough recently and is easily discoverable. All posters should learn
to search first and refer to the results of their searches before posting IMO.
The old USENET convention about posting in a new newsgroup was to do
enough reading to be familiar with the current topics being discussed.
That may not apply in these forums but I think searching before posting
in here is an appropriate alternative convention. The intent of both conventions
is to be respectful of others' time.
