Does anybody know if Dell Poweredge 400SC motherboard supports 300GB Seagate harddisk?

So long as the connector types are the same, (ie SCSI and SCSI) there should
not be any problem.

cheers

Just because a connector looks the same, it does not be that the hard
drvie controller BIOs can handle the newer size. IDE / ATAPI requires
LBA48 (??) controls in order for the motherbaord to make use of all
capacity.

Dell's site has the computer handling SATA drives, which do not have the
128 GB limit. If the OP is talking about a 300 GB SATA drive he should
have no problem with it. Of course he could have spent 1 minute looking
up the information on their site.
