Does 7N400 support DMA via IDE ports

I want to do some partition copying using Bootit.

Bootit launches before any operating system gets started so any
partition copying it does uses the BIOS to transfer data.

Does anyone know if the BIOS in the Gigabyte 7N400 Pro2 or the
7N400V-L supports DMA transfers?

BIOS has no facility to copy. This s/w appears to work in DOS.
DMA is worked between the drive and destination under OS
control if a mini-driver like patch is installed.

Where can I get such a patch?

Is such a patch specific to the motherboard?

Where would this sort of patch be found for the Gigabyte 7N400V-L

But thats easy to program.

Not necessarily and probably not. Applications can be booted without
an OS ever present.

Or if the bios uses DMA in the Int13 functions.

I don't know anything about the "Bootit" program, but any decent MoBo made
in the past 5-7 years will use DMA on an IDE channel when the device is one
which can benefit from it. Yes, the 7N400V-L will use DMA on the IDE
Channels unless you disable it in BIOS setup.
