Hi,

I just wanted to submit to the powers that be that when
trying to install Media Player 10 through Windows Update
on a licenced WinXP PRO sp 2 with an AMD64 and Data
Execution Prevention enabled for the ALL PROGRAMS, the
DEP message pops up to inform me that it just terminated
the app "DRM MIGRATE EXE".

It does not give me the option to disable it for that
program.

This should surely be part of the Q&A routine? I kindly
suggest that MS testers try these updates on an AMD64
machine with DEP before submitting online.

If you want to contact me, please use firstname@lastname
plus dot net. e.g if my name was Joe Doe, it'd be
(e-mail address removed). [I get enough spam as it is]

Sounds like SP2 is doing exactly what it is supposed to do; make life
difficult for commercial malware.

Unfortunately, DRM is commercial malware you are obliged to tolerate.
