Documents opening in Publisher

OK...I am not computer savey...How do I get my documents to stop
automatically opening under Publisher? No matter what I open, via email, it
goes to Publisher. I know there is a setting somewhere, but I cannot find it!

You didn't specify the document type. However, right-click on your Document
and choose Open With - Choose Program - then Windows will display a list of
available program. See if that Program is listed which you want your
documents to open with e.g. Microsoft Office Word 2003. Otherwise click the
Browse button and search for the program. Make a check mark on "Always use
this ...................." to make a default selection. Apply the changes.
Now, double-click and check if the document open correctly in the specified
program.
