Hello all. I've just installed W2K on my PC with partitioned drives C:\
(for Windows) and D:\ (for Data). Presently, I have WINNT, Program Files
and the Documents and Settings Folder on the C:\ drive. I would like
Documents and Settings to be located on my D:\ drive, but don't know how to
accomplish this. I've tried to drag from C:\ and drop to D:\ but this won't
work, neither will cut & paste. During installation, the only thing the
setup program asked of me was where I wanted to install the OS, which I
answered C:\. There were no more specific questions concerning where to
install certain folders. If I need to reinstall Windows, I have no problem
doing this as I haven't installed any other software yet.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is definitely NOT something that I would recommend that you do or
even try but if you really feel that you have to see here:

Cannot Move or Rename the Documents and Settings Folder
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...port/kb/articles/Q236/6/21.ASP&NoWebContent=1

After you do that get ready to receive System events 7000 and 7009.
Then you can go here to see how to fix your screw ups:

4952 » After you redirect the 'Documents and Settings' folder, you
receive System event 7000 and 7009?
http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBJ/tip4900/rh4952.htm

Note the fix for the problem: "To fix the problem, move any service
account profiles back to the original partition." Feel like going
around in circles?

MS has KB articles on this, but I recommend you don't try to do it.
If it's a issue of space perhaps soething like Partition Magic can help
you resize the partitions/drives. Backuup first.
