I did some google searching some time (a month or so) ago hoping to discover
that remote desktop implements encryption by default. I found some stuff on
the Microsoft web pages about remote desktop, but nothing on the encryption
I was hoping it used. Assuming it does implement encryption, could someone
point me to the web page that describes it?

Thanks,
Siegfried

Try this link...

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/termserv/termserv/remote_
desktop_protocol.asp

Access the group policy MMC snap-in. To do so, Click start. Click Run. Type
MMC press enter. Click file and then click Add/Remove Snap-in. On the
Standalone tab, click Add and then click Group Policy. Click Add and then
Finish. Close and then click OK. The encryption level can be change under
the Local Computer Policy\Computer Configuration\Administrative
Templates\Windows Components\Terminal Services\Encryption and Security
folder
