When I try printing my power point document to my
LaserJet 5 (12 MB RAM installed) it errors out after the
eighth page. My document has 53 pages and is 10 MB in
size. Is this too large to print to an old LJ 5?

hmm.. 10Mb should not be too large
Here's what I would try in your situation

(1) Try printing just pages 7-9 to see if it's a problem with the file
(2) Try copying all of the presentation (Ctrl+A in outline view) and paste into a new PPT file. See if that prints
(3) Or make of copy of the PPT file and try deleting all content on slides 7-9, save it and print.

As a rule, it's not the size of the presentation but the complexity of
individual pages that causes trouble.

What error message do you get from the printer, if any?
Or do you get a Windows error message? If so, what is it?
