Hi,
I want that my document is not printed and copied in any PC by someone.
How can I do this configuration in MS Office 2000 Pro.
Please help me.
Thanks.

This is impossible. If it can be seen it can be copied.

OK. I understand that there is no solution for resticting copy and paste.
So, is it possible to block the printing of document in MS Office 2000 Word?
Because some .pdf documents are not printed and copied/pasted.
Can I restrict the printing at least?
Thanks.

No. This is not possible. The best you can manage is to use a secure pdf,
but even this is not foolproof. Anyone who knows what they are doing - me
for instance - can easily get round this limitation. Bottom line, if you can
see it you can copy it or print it.

Of course, I can understand.
By using "PrintScreen Key", what you said is possible everytime.
But I am talking about normal users who don 't know much.

For example, if I use the choice "protect" in the menu of Word,
users don't copy/past the document in formal way by using the Edit Menu.
So, in the same way, I want to make that the choice "print" in the File Menu will be passive
when a user open the document. Is this possible.
Thanks.

You could disable the print function by intercepting it with vba, but it
would disable print for Word and if there was a problem, your inexperienced
user would not be able to correct it so would not be able to print from
Word. This is not a good plan. If you are concerned about casual copying of
your document, use pdf - there are some inexpensive pdf solutions on the
favourites page of my web site.

As Graham has said, if someone can see it, they can copy it.

That said, you can use Tools => Protect => Forms with a password. This will
keep the average user from using cut and paste. Following the directions on
the MVP website's vba FAQ you can write macros that intercept the print
commands only in your document. Both of these steps are easy for an
experienced user to get around. The macro solution will be defeated very
easily on most systems by the macro security settings which either won't run
the macros or will give the user the choice of whether or not to run them.
If you do something bizarre like red text with green highlighing (or in a
green textbox) it will be close to unprintable -- and close to unreadable.
