Document Scanning.

Hello,

From Windows forms, is it possible to allow the user to scan documents;

1. I need to build a custom function which will recognize the installed
scanner hardware.

2. Call the vendor's API's & initiate scanning job ( how to determine this
from .NET)

3. preview scanned doucment.

4. scan the document & save in standard image formats.

There's an API that allows you to do that in a way that's not specific to
a particular scanner hardware, it's called TWAIN. There's an article at
CodeProject that has some details on how to use this API from C#:
