document name or path not valid

I receive the following message when trying to open a
specific Word (2002) document: "The document name or path
is not valid. Try these suggestions..."

I have downloaded all available Office updates and have
tried the workarounds suggested in Article #328100.
Nothing has worked.

Are there any other possible solutions.

I posted the same problem just now under "Can't open Word document."
This is the first time I've had this problem. I see you received no
responses. Have you found a solution on your own?
