document history

Please can anyone help me ?
When I press the Office button in Word recent document history is shown with
pins (that move) Can anyone tell me how you remove history as files no longer
exist

Open the Office2007 button- click Word Options- click Advanced- scroll down
to "How many Recent Documents do you want to appear? click the number to
"zero"- OK it. Go back and open the Office Button and your Recent Documents
should be blank! Repeat the previous process and reset the amount of Recent
Documents you want to appear....if you want any?!
