It happens quite often that a document ends with a blank page. if I show
"codes" I see a paragraph sign on the blank page, but i can't get rid of it.
It often happens when a table ends the page before the empty page. There are
nothing at the bottom of the second to last page, that can be deleted.

Last time my text ended app. halffway down what was supposed to be the last
page, and there is absolutely nothing on the page. No unwanted linefeeds, no
graphics, nothing. all the same it produces and empty page.

Any ideas?¨

As you have seen, the "empty" page is not really empty but in fact contains
a paragraph mark. Word insists on having a paragraph mark at the end of a
document to store document-level formatting (or the formatting of the last
section of a multi-section document). This formatting cannot be stored in
the end-of-table marker, which stores formatting for the table. To make the
required empty paragraph fit on the last page of text, it sometimes suffices
to format it as 1 point. If this doesn't work, you'll have to format it as
Hidden (then hide nonprinting characters to make the extra page disappear).

If you have an extra "empty" page as described in your second paragraph,
check the empty paragraph on the page to see if it is formatted as "Page
break before."

Thanks. Never thought of just hiding the para mark.

About my second paragraph problem I will look into it later. I dont recall
having inserted any formating though. I normally only use page break before
in headings.
