Docmd.quit leaves lock file in place

Hi all,

I have an app that allows the user to quit Access by clicking a command
button. It works fine except that it leaves the lock file in place. Is
this OK or is there a way around this?

I haven't experienced problems with it being there, but it's suspicious and
bothersome. However, I haven't closed the app, walked away, and come back
to see if the lock file is gone. I'll see if it disappears & if so, I'll
ignore it.

need to open it exclusivly then I don't think it is anything to worry about.
Make sure you cleanup all your open recordsets/connections before you close the app.

Also I've seen where the lock file just hangs around for a few minutes

before it disappears when the db is closed.
