DoCmd.OutputTo Problem

I have a report that needs to be saved as a disk file after printing. I am invoking DoCmd.OutputTo on Report_Deactivate, but the file does not get saved. I am also trapping for an error message, but am not getting one. Can anyone shed some light on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to invoke Docmd.OutputTo outside the report, after you issue your
docmd.Openreport
