Is there any possibility to create a window which will dock on a side of the
Desktop so that the other applications will not be able to use this area
like the task bar of windows?

Well, I'm certainly no expert here - but, yes. Windows allows you to
create custom application desktop toolbars, it has since windows 95.

I haven't tried it... but here is a .net sample of registering an
application as a desktop toobar (probably C#):

I have not seen this question for years now, Tom should have seen it too
some 4 years ago, when it was often asked, so it should be searchable in
Google groups. However the text quoted bellow I never saw. Is that realy the
purpose?
So that the other applications will not be able to use this area like the
task bar of windows?
