doc1.doc files received via email will not open in Word.

I receive an error message every time I try and open a file called doc1.doc
sent via email. The error message reads... "Can't create file: Doc1.doc.
Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click
Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder."
Any ideas?

Are you opening the Word attachment directly from the email? If
yes, then try right-clicking on the attachment, save the
attachment to a location of your choice on the hard drive, and
then open the file from the hard drive.

This didn't work...it gives me the same message, but starts with..."Cannot
Save the Attachment. Cannot create file..." Do you have any other ideas? I
appreciate your help.
