Do You Want to Disconnect Now

Hello Everyone,

I have posted on the Firefox NG and gotten replies saying this is most
likely a OS problem. I agree it not seem to be entirely a Firefox issue. Can
someone help me here ?

With no problems before, I upgraded from Firefox 1.0.7 to 1.5.0.1. I
suddenly started got messages asking,

Do you Want to Disconnect Now

when ever I click sporadically on links, buttons, and clicking my scroll
wheel to go back a page, and at other times as well.

I have searched Firefox's about:config and Windows XP's regedit, but cannot
find anything to help. Does anyone have any suggestions ? It does seem to
be an OS situation.

To check that auto-disconnect is turned off do the following.Click on
Start>Control Panel>Network and Internet Connections>Internet
Options>Connections>Settings>Advanced and make sure that both 'Disconnect'
boxes are un-checked.
 
Thank You for your reply Mike. I would rather have had my system work
correctly, asking if I wished to disconnect only when I closed down browsers
and O.E.. Since that is not to be, your suggestion seems to be the best
choice. That is what I have done. You have given me a compromise.
