Currently I'm registered with Microsoft TechNet. A few weeks ago I
registered to participate in the evaluation of Windows Vista Beta. I noticed
that I can download the Windows Vista 2 Beta 2 English 32 bit edition after
authenticating using my Microsoft passport dot net login account @
http://download.windowsvista.com/preview/beta2/en/x86/download.htm. This
procedure uses the Akamai download manager.
However, I'm wondering do I need a product key in order to install the beta
software after downloading it ? I don't want to proceed with the download
and the creation of the DVD ISO image and then realising that I need to
insert a product key while carrying out the installation. At the moment when
I click on the Windows Vista 2 Beta 2 English 32 bit link, I'm prompted to
save or open the _client_LB2CFRE_EN_DVD.iso file.
Please advise me if I require a product key. Finally is it possible to dual
boot between Windows XP pro and Windows Vista Beta using the NTFS file system
or does it require FAT32 on both partitions. Or it is recommened to use a
separate hard disk for both client operating systems?
I would appreciate feedback from anybody out there.
Thanks,
Martin
