Yup, you'll need a CPU in to test the motherboard, although you may be able to get away with no ram. What sort of CPU do you need?

I may have a pentium 4 1.3GHz around somewhere, will that do?

although, i dont have any compatable RAM

It really does depend on if the motherboard is compatible with it, what sort is it?

it is an MS-6533, it can take this processor. i will try to find it soon,

thanks for your help :)

apart from that, does these look good for a PC specs;
---------------------

MoBo - Unknown, USB2 etc...

512/1GB RAM
P4 2.6-3GHz
CD/RW Drive
DVD Drive
80GB HD
128MB Gfx
400W PSU

not really for gaming, but to replace the laptop on my desk, as i need power for video editing, and my laptop cannot offer it

Doesn't look bad, but whats the graphics card? The 1GB ram will help alot, and a 3Ghz CPU would certainly help too.

well, i havent got as far as deciding what make of everything i am having, just got the case, and ordering the rest ASAP.

On my case it has front audio connectors, is it possible to run them in conjunction with the ones on the MoBo? it will only allow me to have one or the other

Yes-n-no ... depends on the "pin-outs" and MB. ;)
