Do you choose VS2002 or 2003?

No.

Stay away from VS02 -- it is a buggy piece of crap that would barely be called
a beta from a legitimate software co.

Julie, do not understand your response ... You say there is no need to
upgrade and then you say the 2002 is buggy.

Anyway, I had more exposure on 2003. Supposedly there is a significant
difference; VC++ 2003 has a visual form designer and 2002 did not.

As for buginess of 2003, we noticed a bug in watch window; sometimes it
interprets the values wrong and we need to inspect memory window to see
real values. And it does not like to inspect references.

Keep 2002 and get 2005 Beta 1. Upgrade next year.

Perhaps I misunderstood -- I was think the OP was asking if they needed to
first have vs02 installed before they could install vs03...
