Do these WD have 3 year g'tee

I have tried to email WD but getting no luck,
so i've come to you helpful people :)
the 2 drives in question are

Yep, the critical bit is the 8MB cache.
also how comes i can't find anything
on WD site about the "WD1200PB"?

WD is rather slack about that sort of detail on their web site.
It is in the press announcements or somewhere on that site.

The only thing good I can say about WD drives and their three -year warranty
is that you'll need it. I had two (a 100 gig and 200 gig) fail within days
of install by developing a loud, high-pitched whine. The replacement 100
gig lasted about a year, then started "clicking" during operation and
locking up my system. Even though I could have gotten a warranty
replacement, I didn't bother and replaced the WD with a Samsung 160 gig (a
much quieter drive, BTW).

The WD warranty replacements I received had a much shorter warranty than
three years. Essentially, the three-year WD warranty was useless, as the
two drives failed within days, and were then replaced with drives that, when
checked on WD's web site, had 9 month to one year warranties.

If my experience was limited to one bad WD drive, I'd be less opinionated.
But, three drives and two different failure modes? Stay away my friend,
stay away....

I've been through literally many hundreds of WD drives in systems I've built
over the years and came across only one bad one in all that time.

I must admit i've had one of there 80gb SE for a while now and never had any
problems, before i went for WD used to use IBM (yes the dreaded Deathstar)
but moved over to seagate and WD and only Seagate has gone down on me in
last 18 months so happy to stay with WD for now at least.
