Do printers wear out?

I have an Epson 880 which has so far printed in the region of 15,000 A4
pages. How long will it keep churning out pages before it 's worn out, or
don't inkjet printers wear out due to the amount of use they get?

Yes printer do wear out. the time factor varies from one day after the
warrenty runs out to one day after you sell the printer to your best
friend or your future father-in-law.

_Anything_ with moving parts is going to wear out, sooner or later. In
addition, simple age-related factors may be an issue--for example,
rubber pinch-rollers harden (and, consequently, fail to pinch). How long
any particular make/model lasts depends on many factors, some out of
your control--such as design and workmanship--and others in, e.g., care
and conditions of use. Reliability and longevity are things one
considers when buying a new machine. In your situation, with 15,000
pages already through the Epson, about all you can do is keep it clean
and dig it while it's happening.

cheers,

Henry
