Do Outlook users external to my network receive Meeting Requests?

I'm trying to schedule a meeting with someone outside my company by using the
Meeting Request function in Calendar. Both of our companies have Office
2003, and we both use Outlook - but he never seems to get the meeting
request. Am I doing something wrong, or do we have to be on the same email
server in order for this function to work, as it does between me and my
colleagues? Thanks!

No, meeting requests sent over the internet work just fine as long as there
is no block place at their firewall and you have sent the item using Outlook
Rich Text format.

What do your recipients see, if anything?

So far he sees nothing at all - but I tested this with one of my own external
mail addresses, and got it fine. I had to enable the iCal (Internet
Calendar) option for my Outlook at home though. The other guy's checking to
see if it's enabled on his PC at work. Thanks, Milly!
