Try a blank password? If that doesn't work, logon to XP on an admin
account and run in a command prompt window:

net user Administrator pwd

where "pwd" is the password you would like to use. Then use this
password when repairing.

Not sure if this will help with XP. But in Windows 2000, if you use a linux
boot disk you can delete the administrators password. theen boot as normal
logging on with a blank password.
