How do I get around this report?: "You do not have the
necessary permissions to use the 'P\CS
Division\CSTT\TECH\CSTT Drill Builder data.mdb' object.
Have your system administrator or the person who created
this object establish the appropriate permissions for
you." The person who created the object is not accessable
and the system administrator doesn't know how to bypass
this report. Any help is apprecited, thanks

That is not a "report". It is an "error message" and means Access' security
has been applied and that you do not have permissions on the referenced
database. Access security is breakable, but it is sufficiently non-trivial
to be a real pain.

Someone with some "permanence" at the site should be trained in Access
security and be appointed "administrator". Actually, at least two people
should be so trained and appointed, just in case one of them happens to walk
in front of an eighteen-wheeler or something.

In the meanwhile, you need to search the web for "password recovery" --
before you pay, make certain that the product is for "user and group level
security", and for the version of Access you are using, not just "database
password" recovery. The latter is relatively trivial, and there are lots and
lots of those, but it is not what you need for your situation.

To continue your discussion in the appropriate newsgroup, I have added
microsoft.public.access.security to the newsgroups of this post. Best of
luck with your database.
