Hello,
I have been using windows update to keep up with the
latest critical patches. All to the good. Then, foolishly
ignoring my own credo "if it ain't broke don't fix it" I
installed the suggested nVidia driver update. Now
rebooting the machine, windows freezes during launch.
Until I removed that video card (I have two cards) I could
only use the machine in safe or VGA mode.
I tried reinstalling the driver from my OEM (Dell),
launching off the CD and running repair, everything short
of reinstalling the OS.
Beware. Do NOT download drivers from windows update!!!
