do I really have IE 6?

When i looked at the "about internet explorer" window, it said i have version
6.0, but I have seen a screenshot of Internet Explorer 5.0, and my brower
looks exacty like that and not at all like IE 6.0...

You have IE6 SP1 installed.

For IE6 SP1 to "look like" IE6 SP1 does in Windows XP, you need to be
running Windows XP.
