Do I need to use the DNS on the server to be able to have users login
into the server with roaming profiles and have group policies apply
to them? I have the DNS addresses from my ISP.
Im somewhat new to server 2003. All help is appreciated!
Let's put it this way, when users need to logon, access resources, open
their Exchange email, authenticate to Active Directory, or even when Active
Directory DCs need to find themselves, (and yes, DCs even need to find
themselves),.they ask DNS.
Your DNS knows where YOUR domain controllers are. Now, if your DCs and your
clients asked your ISP's DNS, will their server know where YOUR domain is?
