Do I need .NET Framework SDK?
What is benefit of .NET Framework SDK?

The .Net framework SDK is a set of tools and documentation that can help you use the .Net Framework effectively.
The SDK for instance contains tools that will help you migrate your VB6 applications to .Net
The SDK is an optional install and is not required in order to build applications that use the .Net Platform
