I've had a HP 2200DN for about 6 years and printed thousands of pages
with it. I've never replaced the drum. Now, pages I print look like
this:

Do I need to replace the drum?

Many thanks...

To be sure you need to let me know exactly how far it is from the beginning of
the first defect and the beginning of the second defect measured vertically of
course. I have measured your image and it is impossible to be sure because of
the variables involved. If you can make that measurement I will advise.

The pattern repeats every 9.9 cm (approx. 3 7/8")...

Thanks,

The drum circumference is 94mm and is the roller that has the greatest diameter
so I suspect this is a drum failure. There are no other rollers in the printer
that are close to that, the next one down is 75mm (part of the fuser). If you
buy a new toner cartridge it will come with a new drum in it.
Good luck
