it says SP2 because you have installed a component of SP2 relating to an
update for IE, you might like to check out a few website before installing
the full SP2, as there might be some issue you might have after doing so.
not wanting to stop you doing so, but I have not do an update yet, as I
want other to try it and report on message boards on there views of SP2,
before I do the same.
on installing SP1 all that time ago !!! I had more problems than I had
bargained for, as I lost all of my files all 180gig, yes GIG.
all legal software too. so no issue with M$ bugging my pc because of
illegal software.
as for SP2, it DOES have spyware in some of the updates to find pc that do
have such software installed and it the proceeds to stop your pc from being
able to login to a user, so rendering your pc useless. just in case some of
you do have such software, beware !!!
I shall be installing SP2 in the not so near future. shall wait for
feedback from other first to be sure there are not big problems with it.
