I have a question as to whether or not I have powerpoint.
When I go under System Tools-System Information-
Applications it lists Microsoft Word 2000,(which I have)it
also lists Powerpoint 2000 but when I click on it, it says
Powerpoint has not been started or is not in... Insall and
or start application then press F5 to refresh. Can anybody
help me figure out if I have it or not? Thanks. Tracy

Do a file search for:

POWERPNT.EXE

If you have PowerPoint, it will show up. Right-click this file, click Send
To, and select Desktop (create shortcut).

PowerPoint should run from this shortcut. :-)

Do a Search on your system for POWERPNT.EXE. If you don't have it, it's not
installed.

Or, put your Office CD in the CD drive. Run setup.exe. Select Add/Remove
Features and see if PowerPoint is listed as installed or available for
installation. You can check it and install it if it isn't already
installed.

Thirdly, you may not have the version of Office that includes PowerPoint.
What version does the jewel case say that you have?

Do you know what Office and version you have? If you have Office 2003 then
you have it. If you have XP(office not windows), 2000, 97 and you have small
business edition then I think you don't have it.
