I have a KR7A-RAID CPU with AMD 1900+ (model 6) CPU using Thermaltake
Volcano 6 heatsink. Yesterday (for the first time) the CPU alarm went off
when the CPU reached 60C. According to the WinBond Hardware Doctor monitor,
my system is idling at 53C and climbs closer to 58-59 in just a few minutes
under some load. The system is a little over a year old.
Are these temperatures a problem? I added a second hard drive about 2
months ago, but I don't think I materially changed the air flow conditions
(which between the graphics card and the location of the IDE ports/cables
seems necessarily stifled).
Thank you for any comments!
