OK so do i have a Quad CPU?

SiSoftware Sandra Lite says CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83QHz
Belarc says CPU is 2.85 gigahertz Intel Core2 Quad

Reason i ask is with the old Boinc software i crunched 2 units at a time.
Since updating to the latest software i now do 4 units at a time?

Or am i being a bit thick!:o
 
Core2 Quad is indeed a quad, most likely BOINC was previously set to only use 2 cores. If you bring up Taskmanager in Windows and check the performance tab you can see all your cores and their current utilization state :)
