do i give my bank account # to pay bills oon line?

i would like to pay my bills on line , i currently went
to the bank and got a account link, but im a little
afraid to put my accounton line and can all bills be paid
on line?
 
This is a newsgroup for Windows XP. We cannot answer questions about your
bank. Please ask your bank to help you.

Your bank should have given you a link similar to the following:
https://www.applyforproducts.cibc.com/english/digcerts/Prequals.jsp

Notice the "https:" The "s" stands for secure. When at a secure page like
this one, you should see a yellow padlock icon on the bottom right side of
your Internet Explorer browser. When you see both the "https:" and the
yellow padlock at your banks' site, you can go ahead and enter your user
name and password, then proceed to do your banking. Choose a strong password
and do not store it on your computer.

If you should ever receive an email from your bank regarding your account, I
recommend you call them on the telephone or visit them in person.
