I have a Sapphire 128mb 9100 using Cat3.7s

Im playing MoH Breakthrough at the mo and using the auto-configure option it
detects my system accurately except for the memory on my card which it
reports as 64mb not 128mb.

This isnt the only game Ive seen this on - are games using my card correctly
and if not what can I do about it ?

Under Adapter in display properties does it say 128mb? If it does then
don't worry about it. It's probably that the game doesn't recognize
more than 128mb because they wrote the detection routine to a max of
64mb at the time. Like some game detections don't detect cpu's over a
certain speed because at the time there was no cpu faster. Another way
to make sure your vid card is ok is to go to run and type dxdiag and
look under the display tab. It tells you there too how much ram the
vid card has and if agp texture acceleration is functioning correctly
etc.

DxDiag should report the amount of memory present on your card correctly, it
may be one of two things where it's being reported as 64:
1) It's genuinely a 64Mb card....
2) The Card's Bios has been incorrectly flashed to say that the card has
64....

Irrespective, if DirectX says the card has 64Mb of Ram, it'll only use that
amount of Ram.

Does the Radeon 9100 actually support 128Mb Ram, I thought the 8500 only
supported upto 64Mb Ram?

dxdiag reports the card correctly at 128mb so I hope that means
that the full memory is being utilized and yes - it does have 128
