Just curious how this is handled. If CPU makers do not rebate retailers the
difference I would be trying to drop my cpu stock to zero right now if I
were a retailer and that would be really bad for the manufactures. If a
retailer ordered a cpu like the X24800 today they might pay $600 for it
wholesale and next week it will be under $300. Does the retailer just have
to take the hit.
I would also be curious to know how far off from normal someone like NewEggs
CPU sales are at the moment. I am sure a bunch of people are like me and in
a wait and see mode. Knowing major price drops are looming there is just no
way I would build a computer right now unless I just had to have it.
