Every time I try to access to any website I get the following:

c:\windows\system\shdoclc.dll\dnserror.htm

The hosts file is OK.

Cookies, and temp files deleted.

I used CWShredder, Hijackthis and two antivirus without success.

What can I do with that Win XP Pro SP2 with an user account (no
administrator)?

Thanks.

I get the same error message, but only while trying to load certain webpages.

I have WinXP Pro Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm:Service Pack 2), and
IE Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp.sp2_rtm. Update Version:; SP2;
I am going through a router, then to a cable modem. I can ping anywhere.

I run AdAwareSE, SpyBot3.1, and Nortion Antivirus 2003 once a week. I keep
NA scanning all incoming/outgoing e-mails. AdAware and SpyBot found a few
items.
I deleted them, and emptied cookies and all temp internet files.

I have tried the following with no positive results;

cmd then netsh winsock reset
lspfix.exe -The only thing that shows up is mswsock.dll, winrnr.dll,
rsvpsp.dll.
I think I need all of them. And it doesn't give me any options to add
anything, unless I click on I know what I'm doing, which I don't.
WinsockFix.Exe
I also try to repair lsp.dll from the msconfig page, but it won't let me
browse to where the file is located. I can get to MyComputer, but no
folders, or drives show up to choose from.

I have also uninstalled ie and reinstalled it. No luck.
Then uninstalled SP2 and reinstalled it. No luck.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I'm considering formatting C:,
and reinstalling WinXP Pro, but that would be my last resort.

I got the problem fixed, but it had nothing to do with the winsock, lsp, or IE.
There are 2 computers on our home network, going through a router.
My roommates computer had a virus called MShelp32.exe. Apparently, this had
changed his network connection settings, after resetting all of his network
connection settings, everything is working fine. Appreciate all your tips.
Thank you,

Angie
